RUDRAVAANSH PALACE

AUTHOR'S POV
The first rays of sunlight slowly entered through the grand windows of the Rudravaansh Palace.
The magnificent palace stood proudly in the heart of Rajasthan, carrying the legacy of generations.
Every corridor echoed with royalty.
Every wall carried stories of the past.
And every morning began with the same tradition—
The eldest daughter-in-law of the family performing the first puja of the day.
Inside one of the royal suites, a loud alarm suddenly broke the peaceful silence.
Tring... Tring... Tring...
Anushree groaned and immediately reached for her phone.
The screen displayed:
5:00 AM
With sleepy eyes, she switched off the alarm.
But before getting up, her gaze shifted toward the sleeping figure beside her.

And instantly, a small smile appeared on her lips.
ANUSHREE POV
"Aaye haye..."
I shook my head.
"Sote hue kitne cute lagte hain."
(He looks so cute while sleeping.)
Then I narrowed my eyes.
"Par uthte hi pura devil ban jaate hain."
(But the moment he wakes up, he becomes a complete devil.)
A small laugh escaped me.
Four months.
It had already been four months since our marriage.
Yet our relationship remained exactly the same.
Formal.
Polite.
Distant.
We only talked when necessary.
No unnecessary conversations.
No romantic moments.
No expectations.
Sometimes I wondered if this marriage was as forced for him as it had been for me.
Maybe it was.
I looked at Rajveer again.
Even while sleeping, he looked intimidating.
His sharp features.
His calm expression.
His commanding aura.
Everything about him screamed power.
Suddenly—
TRING! TRING! TRING!
My second alarm rang.
I immediately switched it off before it disturbed him.
Then the third.
Then the fourth.
Then the fifth.
Yes.
I kept ten alarms.
Don't judge me.
Being the eldest daughter-in-law of the Rudravaansh family wasn't easy.
If I overslept, the entire palace schedule would be disturbed.
And I wasn't willing to let that happen.
Quietly taking my clothes, I entered the bathroom.

TIME SKIP
After getting ready, I stood in front of the mirror.

A simple red saree.
Light jewelry.
A small bindi.
Perfect.
I wasn't fond of heavy sarees unless there was a special occasion.
Just then, movement behind me caught my attention.
Rajveer had woken up.
Our eyes met through the mirror.
For a brief second.
Neither of us spoke.
As usual.
Without saying a word, he walked toward the dressing table.
Picked up the vermilion box.
And stood behind me.
My heart skipped slightly.
Even after four months, I wasn't used to this.
I closed my eyes.
Carefully, he filled my hair partition with sindoor.
A daily ritual.
A silent promise.
A reminder that regardless of our distance—
I was his wife.
Then he gently kissed my forehead.
Just like every morning.
No words.
No explanation.
And walked toward the bathroom.
I touched my forehead unconsciously.
Sometimes...
I truly didn't understand this man.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A little later, I stepped out of our room.
The palace was slowly waking up.
Servants moved around preparing for the day.
The moment they noticed me, they bowed respectfully.
"Khama Ghani, Rani Sa."
I smiled warmly.
"Ghani Khama."
One elderly servant approached me.
"Kaka, sab uth gaye?"
(Has everyone woken up?)
The servant shook his head.
"No, Rani Sa."
Then a smile appeared on his face.
"Only Rajkumar Shiva is awake."
I blinked.
"What?"
The servant nodded.
"He left for the temple be
fore sunrise."
Now that was shocking.
Shiva waking up early?
Voluntarily?
Something was definitely wrong.
And for some reason...
I had a feeling the family would soon find out why.
